The ADDY Awards were founded in Florida in 1960 by the Miami Chapter and were adopted nationally in 1968. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY Awards represent the true creative spirit of advertising by recognizing all forms of advertising, in all types of media, created by all sizes and types of entrants. With the ADDY Awards it's the size of the idea that matters the most, not the size of the organization or the size of the budget. This distinction truly separates the ADDY Awards from virtually every other advertising competition.
